About Core Skills
Core Skills Advanced Training consists of four two-day workshops. These workshops provide an in depth study of each of the EFT steps. Each day will contain instruction and group supervision of EFT work according to the guidelines set out by the Centre for Excellence in EFT (in Ottawa). Each weekend provides twelve hours of training. When you sign up for the course you are committing your intention to complete all five weekends.
There will be opportunity for participants to get feedback on videos of their own work with clients. Bringing your own video to view is necessary to meet the requirement for EFT certification.
Attendance qualifies participants with 60 hours of group supervision (CEUs provided by Alliant International University)* which can be applied to EFT Registration.
The only outstanding requirement for Certification after attending Core Skills Training is eight hours of individual supervision. The application process is described on www.eft.ca. Final decision regarding readiness for certification is determined by the EFT Centre in Ottawa.
This Core Skills event is part of a pilot course establishing formats and pedagogy for the acquisition of knowledge and skill necessary to become a Certified EFT Therapist. It involves more trainers, some more instructional time and a modification of structure, particularly surrounding the “case presentation.” For this training event the majority of case presentations will take place during Module Five.
Participants will be clustered during some instructional segments and some role play practice sessions. If you have taken the Core Skills before, or have had significant supervision, during these times you will work with the “advanced” EFTers.
